Synopsis

Gertrude Killoran, eldest of the Killoran sisters, has spent a lifetime being underestimated — by her own family most of all. She may seem as vulnerable as a kitten, but given the chance, she can be as fierce as a tiger. When her adopted brother Stephen is snatched back by his true father — the reviled "Mad Marquess," Lord Edwin Warwick of Maddock — Gertrude refuses to relinquish the boy, forcing her way into the household and insisting she stay on as his governess. Still haunted by the deadly tragedy that left him publicly despised, Edwin holds only hatred for the Killorans, the people he believes kidnapped his son. But with every moment he shares with the tenderhearted Gertrude, his anger softens into admiration, and perhaps something more. Book four of Christi Caldwell's Wicked Wallflowers series.
