Synopsis

As "Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective," Charlotte Holmes has solved murders and located missing persons, but she's never had to steal a painting until Mrs. Watson's former lover, a maharani, asks for help recovering blackmail letters hidden behind a Van Dyck. The letters must be lifted from an exclusive Yuletide art sale at a French chateau, and Charlotte enlists Lord Ingram, her sister Livia, and Livia's admirer Stephen Marbleton to pull off the heist. What begins as a glamorous caper quickly reveals conspiracies and dangers no one accounted for.
