Synopsis

In 1897 Britain, H. George Wells is leading the nation into a technological golden age — until a beautiful woman abducts him at gunpoint. Jane Robbins, a spy, infiltrates Wells's house to deliver him to her employer, hoping to halt what she sees as an oncoming authoritarian Utopia.

Jane has her reasons to fear the future Wells is building, but she is drawn to him regardless, even as their opposing convictions push them apart. She must choose between saving the man she is falling for and sacrificing him to the cause.

Stealing Utopia is Tilda Booth's debut, a short steampunk romance full of gadgets, guns, death rays and dirigibles, published under the Silk, Steel and Steam banner.
