Synopsis

In this second Deep Waters novel, Anya has spent her whole life performing perfection for her father, the General, while quietly plotting to bring him down and save the city she loves. When Daios, an undine haunted by the souls and memories of his past, infiltrates the city to kidnap her, believing it will atone for his own history of hatred against her people, Anya lets herself be taken. What starts as a captor-and-captive arrangement becomes something neither of them expected, as Emma Hamm folds a slow-building romance into an undersea fantasy that stands on its own but follows directly from Whispers of the Deep.
