Wishcrafter Darcy Merriweather can charm desires into reality, but she cannot magic her way out of trouble when death holds an open house. The Enchanted Village is abuzz: the old Tavistock house has finally gone up for sale, and Darcy's friend, curecrafter Cherise Goodwin, is hoping hers is the winning bid.

While viewing the property, Darcy and Cherise find real estate agent Raina Gallagher dead on the floor, clutching a gemstone amulet, a large red A marked on the wall above her. Raina had no shortage of enemies — but a dark legend also clings to the house itself. To name the killer, Darcy has to learn what the victim and the estate were each hiding.
