Silbersonett

"Silbersonett" is the second book in Marleen S. Meri's "Lieder der Wälder" dark fantasy series, steeped in nature myth and pagan imagery. Having brokered peace with the ash elves and restored the transformed Eshwen to their old form, Severyn's fight is far from over: the fallen prophet Teannan has returned, determined to wipe out the forests and ascend as the new god Daer Awyrs — and he holds Severyn's beloved Breya captive.

A prophetic vision sends Severyn and his fellow minstrels on a perilous journey to the snow-covered peaks of Aradrov to rescue Breya and stop Teannan before he can remake the world in his image. The novel is woven through with original songs and poems in keeping with the series' musical, minstrel-centered mythology.
