China Miéville (born 6 September 1972 in Norwich) is an English writer of speculative fiction, best known for the Bas-Lag novels beginning with Perdido Street Station and for The City & The City. His work is often placed under the label "weird fiction" and within the New Weird. He holds the record for most Arthur C.
