Synopsis

General Douglas MacArthur, determined to reclaim the Philippines after his 1942 retreat, needed an elite intelligence unit. From thousands, 138 of the Army's toughest men were chosen: the Alamo Scouts. This account, drawing from veteran interviews, follows these reconnaissance specialists who often spent weeks behind enemy lines during the Pacific War, finally telling their story more than sixty years later.
