Sentenced to Death

As owner of Stoneham, New Hampshire's mystery bookstore Haven't Got a Clue, Tricia Miles can name the culprit in the latest bestseller long before the last page. On Founders' Day the whole village turns out to celebrate in the square, including Tricia's friend and festivities organiser Deborah Black.

As Deborah gives the opening speech, a small aircraft crashes into the village gazebo, killing her and the pilot. The Sheriff's Department is convinced it was an accident. Tricia is not, and the more she learns about Deborah's life, the more certain she becomes that what she has found is worse than the most sinister whodunit.
