Synopsis

Twelve years ago, Corina Roberts lost her mother and her brother to a brutal murder. She has since built a new life in Kentucky, but odd events there begin to pile up, and she is pulled into a dangerous game where her life is at risk.

She has few people to turn to. Her best chance of staying alive is her ex-boyfriend Bryce Jessup, an army veteran who has just come home from service. He intends to keep his distance from her, yet once threats start closing in, he will not leave her protection to luck.

The two start looking for answers and find that Corina's father, a detective, kept dangerous secrets. Those secrets tie into the killer who is set on terrorizing Corina's family and wiping it out.

This is a romantic suspense novel built around a cold case that is not finished. The relationship between Corina and Bryce runs alongside the hunt for the killer, and the pressure rises as the threats get closer. Expect a tense, danger-driven read in which a past murder and a family's hidden history drive the mystery.
