Synopsis
Salz & See is the second book in Marleen S. Meri's Loreley series, a German-language fantasy adventure that follows the crew of the ship Ruby across a world of seas, deserts, and old gods.
Having set out at the end of the opening volume, Jermaine and his companions deepen their bond with the sea goddess Saesora, who reveals that three ancient reliquaries must be recovered before she can be freed from whatever binds her. The hunt for the first of these relics carries the Ruby's crew further from home and further into the dangers and wonders of Meri's world.
The series builds gradually across its four volumes, mixing nautical adventure with fantasy world-building and an ensemble cast that grows as the crew's journey continues.
