Running Wild

Veterinarian Marie Lehr has sworn off unrequited love after years of pining for a friend who ended up with someone else. She isn't about to make that mistake again — least of all with Tyler Brady, a competitive dog musher whose first impression is arrogance itself.

Volunteering at Alaska's Iditarod Sled Dog Race throws Marie and Tyler together, and her early read on him starts to crack. Underneath the bravado is a man still tied to someone he cannot have, which leaves him with nothing to offer Marie but friendship. She has been down this road before and knows exactly how it ends, but keeping her distance proves harder than she expects.

Set against the same Alaskan backdrop as the earlier Wild novels, Running Wild follows a new couple through grief, self-doubt, and the slow work of moving forward — a story about learning to want something enough to risk being hurt again.
