Does this book fit into the larger series plot or is it a side story?
While this volume functions as a departure from the main narrative by focusing on a specific journey in the mountains, it introduces a character named Roque Ja who remains significant to the overarching story. The events here provide necessary context for the characters' development before they return to the primary conflict in the following volume.
Is there a specific inspiration for the character Roque Ja?
The character's imperious personality and distinct speech patterns were intentionally crafted by the author to evoke the portrayal of Shere Khan from the classic Disney adaptation of The Jungle Book.
