Synopsis

Thriller writer Kurt Remington guards his solitude fiercely, spending long days at his computer on a secluded stretch of Cape Cod beach where he has come to finish his latest book. His careful routine shatters the day free-spirited Leanna Bray nearly drowns trying to rescue her dog, and he pulls her from the surf. Kurt is equal parts irritated and intrigued by the disorganized, impulsive woman who forgets everything and lives entirely on instinct, the opposite of his precise, controlled world. Leanna has come to the Cape to build a career making jam and to sort out her own life, and she has decided that a man is the last thing she needs. Still, she cannot stop thinking about the tall, meticulous, maddeningly appealing man who saved her. What begins as a thank-you visit turns into something far harder to walk away from as two people who could not be more different test whether opposites really do attract. Set in a close-knit seaside town, their story follows the pull between order and chaos and the unexpected ways two mismatched lives begin to fit together.
