Thriller writer Kurt Remington guards his solitude fiercely, spending long days at his computer on a secluded stretch of Cape Cod beach where he has come to finish his latest book. His careful routine shatters the day free-spirited Leanna Bray nearly drowns trying to rescue her dog, and he pulls her from the surf.
