Synopsis

In the sprawling, grimy metropolis of New Crobuzon, where strange creatures and humans coexist under a tyrannical government, a brilliant scientist named Isaac finds his life upended. When a mysterious Garuda seeks his help for a dangerous scientific endeavor, Isaac becomes entangled in a web of obsession and dark magic.
