The book traces Elon Musk's path from a childhood in South Africa through early ventures at Zip2 and PayPal to his later companies, SpaceX and Tesla. Drawing on interviews with Musk and people who worked closely with him, it covers the ambition, risk-taking, and setbacks behind his attempt to build a future centered on electric cars and space travel.
The graded text uses controlled vocabulary and shorter sentences suited to intermediate learners, while preserving the shape of Vance's original reporting.
