Paladin

Paladin opens Sally Slater's debut fantasy series. After a demon kills her mother, Samantha of Haywood disguises herself as a boy to train as a Paladin, one of the sworn demon hunters of Thule, concealing her identity even from her mentor Tristan Lyons and her fellow trainee Braeden, the only known half-demon.

Sent to root out a demon infestation plaguing the Diamond Coast, the three travel west and confront both old enemies and new threats. As Sam fights to keep her secret and prove herself, she and her companions begin to uncover a corruption within the Paladin command structure that runs deeper than the demons they were sent to fight.

The story continues in the sequel Uriel.
