Synopsis

Tara Selter, an antiquarian book dealer, wakes to find that it is the eighteenth of November — again. And again. While the rest of the world resets each morning with no memory of what came before, Tara alone carries each identical day forward, and she begins, with a researcher's patience, to catalogue her strange condition: what changes and what doesn't, how a body, a marriage, and a mind endure inside a single repeating day. The quietly hypnotic first volume of Solvej Balle's seven-part sequence — a meditation on time, presence, and the weight of an ordinary life.
