Frequently asked questions

  • Does this volume work as a starting point for the series?

This volume is a poor entry point because it occurs in the middle of a complex, multi-chapter narrative arc involving a raid on a criminal organization. New readers should begin with the first volume to understand the established character relationships and the foundational rules of the world.

  • What is the significance of this volume in the broader story?

This installment is notable for shifting the narrative focus away from the main protagonist to provide deep character development and backstories for supporting students like Eijiro Kirishima and Tamaki Amajiki. It also marks a pivotal moment in the series by initiating a large-scale, multi-character mission that tests the students' resolve and combat capabilities.
