Synopsis

Merry Ever After is Tessa Bailey's contribution to Under the Mistletoe, an Amazon Original Stories collection of five standalone holiday romances (alongside novellas from Ali Hazelwood, Olivia Dade, Alexandria Bellefleur, and Alexis Daria). Released in November 2024, it's a short, complete story rather than an excerpt or bind-up — readable independently of the other novellas in the collection.

Evie Crowe has relocated to a small town to rebuild her life as a single mother, working at a thrift shop while chasing a quiet dream of upcycling secondhand clothes into her own designs. She isn't looking for romance. Luke Ward, a big, soft-spoken farmer who can never find jeans that fit, keeps finding reasons to visit her shop anyway. What begins with alterations turns into a fast, flirtatious holiday fling — one Luke has decided he wants to make permanent.

Told in Bailey's signature banter-heavy, explicit style, this is a quick, spicy read for fans of small-town romance looking for a one-sitting holiday pick-me-up rather than a full-length novel.
