Everly Swan has moved back to her seaside hometown of Charm, North Carolina, on the Outer Banks, and opened Sun, Sand, and Tea, an iced tea shop and cafe right on the beach. Things are finally starting to look up.

Then a curmudgeonly customer — a town councilman she has been arguing with in public — is found dead on the boardwalk, and the apparent cause is poison traced to her teas. Everly goes from new business owner to the number one suspect overnight, and the only way to keep her shop and her name is to find out who really did it.
