Koalaträume

Juli, a young zookeeper, is invited to Australia to spend four weeks working in a wildlife park alongside koalas, kangaroos, and emus. There she meets Colin, a young Aboriginal man who helps her adjust and gives her the confidence she's missing. Juli is determined not to fall for anyone, especially after a disastrous previous relationship, while Colin is torn between his family's traditions and his own wishes.

Katja Brandis's all-ages novel, aimed at readers from age twelve up, weaves a slow-building romance into a story that foregrounds Australian wildlife conservation and Aboriginal culture, as events neither Juli nor Colin anticipated force them both to make a choice.
