Synopsis

A wave of mysterious mass deaths is sweeping the globe. Entire villages burn to the ground, and at each scene witnesses report the same enigmatic man. At the same time, international agencies are tracking rumors of a highly contagious illness that sends the infected into murderous rages, leaving nothing but bodies behind.

Archeologist Dr. Itsuki investigates the pattern by cross-referencing ancient civilizations and biblical history with modern biology and medicine, tracing threads back through the story of Cain and Abel, Eastern European folklore, and Persian history. As global organizations scramble to connect the incidents and identify the man at their center, the first volume builds a horror-tinged conspiracy suggesting an ancient, supernatural virus may be behind humanity's unraveling.

Written by Takashi Nagasaki (Monster, 20th Century Boys, Pluto) and illustrated by SangCheol Lee, King of Eden opens a horror manga blending international conspiracy, biblical mythology, and body horror.
