Synopsis

Parker Osborne is having the worst day ever. He has no friends at college, he cannot pick up a guy to save his life, and his annoyingly hot jerk of a TA has just handed him a crappy grade. Then the bad day becomes a deadly night: a virus tears through the campus and people begin transforming into zombie-like killers. Parker is suddenly fighting for his life, and without Adam — the muscle-bound TA who gave him the C-minus — he would already be dead.

When they are not bickering, they are fighting off the infected. Their only hope is to head east to Parker's family, and the road there is long. Adam, orphaned and self-contained, is carrying something he is not sure Parker can accept: he is a werewolf.

Kick at the Darkness is a steamy gay romance from Keira Andrews, self-published in May 2015, and the first book in the duology of the same name. The author describes it as enemies to lovers, forced proximity, werewolves, the zombie apocalypse, and a happy ending — eventually.
