Berthold Gunster
Ja - aber was, wenn alles klappt?
Berthold Gunster, a former theatre director and stage author, developed the "yes-and" method as an alternative to the reflexive "yes-but" thinking that blocks people, teams, and organizations when they hit an obstacle. Drawing on his background in improvisational theatre, he argues that accepting a difficult situation as a given fact, rather than arguing against it, opens up options that "yes-but" thinking forecloses.
The book works through everyday professional and personal scenarios, showing how the same technique used by improv actors to keep a scene alive, always building on what a partner offers rather than blocking it, can turn a stuck problem into a workable opportunity. It is aimed at readers dealing with organizational change, personal setbacks, or simple decision paralysis.
Originally published in Dutch as "Ja-maar wat als alles lukt?", the German edition was translated by Monika Götze and published by Campus Verlag.
