Synopsis

Sophie and Joseph Argenton survived their escape from Northwood, but the sinister shadow that haunted their ancestral home followed them—and has now attached itself to Joseph's young cousin, Elise.

Desperate to save her, they travel to Kensington, a long-abandoned mansion overlooking a dead town. Its original owner spent her life researching the creature now possessing Elise, and her research may hold the key to freeing the girl without harming her.

But Kensington has dangers of its own. Once the house has Sophie and Joseph within its grasp, it may not let them leave. Trapped inside the mansion's collapsing walls, they must confront shrouded figures stalking the shadows, whispers echoing through the night, and unmarked graves scattered across the property—while the dead prove far from restful.

House of Secrets is the second book in Darcy Coates's House of Shadows series.
