Synopsis
Kiki Banjo, host of a popular student radio show, has made it her mission to help women avoid messy relationships. However, her reputation is on the line when she's caught kissing Malakai Korede, a man she publicly denounced. To salvage their images, Kiki and Malakai enter a fake relationship, forcing Kiki to confront her presumptions about love and open herself to a deeper connection.

Is there a sequel to Honey and Spice?
Yes. Bolu Babalola's sequel, Sweet Heat, returns to Kiki Banjo and Malakai Korede several years after college for a second-chance romance. It was published in September 2025 (originally announced under the working title Sun Under Skin).

A film adaptation is in development. Working Title Films (Bridget Jones's Diary, Notting Hill) optioned the rights in November 2025, with author Bolu Babalola writing the screenplay herself as her feature debut. No cast or release date has been announced yet.
