Synopsis

Min Suhwa has always longed to see the world beyond the small, cloistered convent where she was hidden for her safety as a child. She has learned to keep her unusual illusion magic to herself — but when travelling performers come to town, she cannot resist going to see them.

The world outside the convent is dangerous. The Morning Realms have fallen to civil war, and Huntsmen prowl the land hunting magicians and the fabled Guardians of Dawn, legendary elemental warriors. When Suhwa's magic brings her afoul of a Huntsman, she must flee for her life. Meanwhile the Guardians and their allies fight on two fronts: against the northern insurrection seeking the Sunburst Throne, and against the rising threat of the Mother of Ten Thousand Demons. Zhara, Ami and Yuli must reach the Azure Isles and find the Guardian of Water before the realms are destroyed.

Guardians of Dawn: Suhwa is the conclusion to S. Jae-Jones's Guardians of Dawn series.
