Synopsis

Girls of Storm and Shadow continues Natasha Ngan's Girls of Paper and Fire series after Lei and Wren's escape from the Hidden Palace. Known now as the Moonchosen, the commoner who did what no one else could, Lei quickly learns that toppling the Demon King was only the beginning. With a bounty on her head and doubts creeping into her relationship with Wren, Lei must travel the kingdom to win the support of scattered rebel clans, all while a rising tide of dark magic works to crush the rebellion before it can start.

The sequel widens the series' worldbuilding and pushes its central romance against the strain of war and separation.
