Synopsis

In the year 2234, the crew of the starship Adamura stumbles upon a colossal, artificial pit on the planet Talos VII. A small team is dispatched to investigate this mysterious structure, each member carrying the weight of their past experiences in the harshness of space. As they trek towards the abyss, their personal struggles and the ghosts of their former lives become as challenging as the journey itself.

American author best known for The Inheritance Cycle, a fantasy series that began with Eragon (2002). Born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Paradise Valley, Montana, he was homeschooled and began writing Eragon at age fifteen; his family self-published the novel in 2002, and Alfred A. Knopf reissued it in 2003 after author Carl Hiaasen brought it to the publisher's attention. He has also written the Fractalverse science-fiction novels To Sleep in a Sea of Stars and Fractal Noise.
