Synopsis

Widowed at thirty-two, Victoria "Victory" Braden has spent five years trying to figure out how to move forward, throwing herself into running Blank Space Entertainment while grief keeps a firm grip on her heart. On what would have been her wedding anniversary, she intends to quietly drown her sorrows, not lose herself in a night of passion with Wells Silver, the charming playboy who owns Rock Bottom Bar and Grill and is considered island royalty. But one reckless night with the younger, irresistible Wells leaves her rattled, and Wells, who rarely lets anyone close, finds himself falling first and falling hard. As Victory wrestles with guilt, grief, and the fear of moving on, Wells sets out to prove he is far more than his reputation suggests. Their chemistry is immediate and their differences are obvious, and neither expects the tenderness that grows between a guarded widow and the last man she meant to want. Set in the sweet small towns and sandy shores of Silver Island, where the Silvers are treated like royalty, this is a steamy, heartfelt romance about second chances, age-gap attraction, and daring to flirt with trouble when love finds you off guard.
