Synopsis

In Victorian London, a young orphan named Sue Trinder is drawn into a dangerous scheme by a charming con man. Her mission: to infiltrate the household of a naive heiress, Maud Lilly, and help orchestrate her ruin. But as Sue gets closer to Maud, unexpected feelings and loyalties begin to complicate the plan, revealing that nothing is as it seems in this world of deception and hidden desires.
