Galantia is a sheltered noblewoman, the daughter of a powerful human lord, in a kingdom that has fought a race of shapeshifting ravens for a generation. Raven fighters take her captive and hand her to Malyr, the ravens' Lord of Shadows. He intends to make her father pay for what was done to him as a captured child.
Malyr is not the only raven who wants her. Sebian, his closest friend, pulls her into a second dangerous bond, and Galantia spends the story caught between the two of them. Both men carry old wounds, and fear gives way slowly to something else as the three are forced together.
This is a dark fantasy romance about two morally grey raven shifters, written with no conventional hero on the page. It does not soften its darkness: the violence is graphic, the sex is explicit, and pain and coercion run through the wanting itself. The pace is slow and tense, built around the trauma bond growing between the three of them.
Feathers So Vicious opens the two-book Court of Ravens duet by Liv Zander and closes with a happy ending of its own. The story continues in a second book, Shadows So Cruel.
