Synopsis

A novella from Stephen King's collection Full Dark, No Stars. Dave Streeter, dying of cancer, meets a strange roadside salesman named George Elvid who offers him a "fair extension": his life and luck will improve if the same measure of bad luck is transferred to someone he names. Streeter picks his lifelong best friend, and watches his friend's life unravel as his own fortunes rise.
