Synopsis

The ladies of Diguière, impoverished owners of a breathtaking 18th-century estate, are determined to save their inheritance. Living on meager wages, these 'ragged princesses' decide to take matters into their own hands, seeking an unsuspecting savior to fund their future. This comedic novel questions the boundaries of good and evil, as a bewildered but complicit narrator recounts whether happiness can truly be found in crime, with complete impunity.
