Death at the Day Lily Cafe

Death at the Day Lily Cafe
Synopsis
Rosalie Hart has finally opened the Day Lily Cafe, sourcing her menu from her own Barclay Meadow farm and the growers around Cardigan, on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The grand opening is going well until Doris Bird walks in, distraught: her sister Lori has been arrested for the murder of her husband, Carl James Fiddler, and Doris knows she did not do it.
Rosalie has solved one killing in Cardigan already, which is apparently enough to make her the person people come to. Fiddler turns out to have insulted or cheated most of the county, so the suspect list only grows, and Rosalie's college-age daughter Annie ends up uncomfortably close to the investigation.
Wendy Sand Eckel's second Rosalie Hart mystery, published in 2016, is a cosy with a strong sense of place: farm-to-table cooking, tidewater landscape, and a divorced woman rebuilding a life she did not plan for. It follows Murder at Barclay Meadow.
