Synopsis

Lindsay works as a lifeguard at a lakeside vacation club, spending every spare minute by the water. Her nightmare begins the day she sees a girl floating lifeless in the pool — but when she reaches the edge, there's nothing there but water. The vision repeats itself night after night, and Lindsay starts to believe she's losing her mind.

As stranger details pile up — a membership card expired for two years, parents she can't reach by phone — the novel builds toward the revelation of who "Mouse" is and why he communicates with a dead friend while nursing a long-held desire for revenge.

Book 48 in R.L. Stine's Fear Street series, and the inspiration for one of the films in the Netflix "Fear Street" trilogy, delivering the series' trademark blend of small-town horror and twist ending.
