Synopsis

Dark Deception is a short prequel to Rina Kent's Deception Trilogy, set before Vow of Deception. It introduces Adrian Volkov, a feared Bratva leader, and Winter, a woman with nothing left to lose living on the streets. Their brief, charged encounter sets up the obsession and coercion that define the trilogy proper.

This is a novella, not a full-length book — readers who go straight into Vow of Deception won't miss essential plot, since its events are folded into that book's opening chapters. It establishes tone rather than resolving anything: dark, morally grey, and possessive, with Adrian's Bratva world looming over every page.
