Barry McDonagh is an Irish author and anxiety coach, best known for his books Panic Away (2001) and Dare: The New Way to End Anxiety and Stop Panic Attacks Fast (2015). He holds a BA from University College Dublin and a postgraduate diploma in psychology from the Open University. His DARE Response method — Diffuse, Allow, Run Towards, Engage — grew out of his own experience with panic attacks and has been taught to readers in more than 30 countries.
