Cells at Work! Baby 4

Cells at Work! Baby 4 is the concluding volume of Yasuhiro Fukuda's spinoff to Akane Shimizu's Cells at Work! manga, illustrated in the same style but starring the cells of a newborn rather than an adult.

The series follows the immune and blood cells inside a baby's body as the infant grows from its earliest days. This volume covers Red Blood Cell's first days on the job picking up oxygen at the placenta counter and her introduction to White Blood Cell, alongside episodes on the baby's first cold and a food allergy scare as solid food is introduced. As with the flagship series, biology is dramatized through small, hardworking characters standing in for the body's cells.
