Captive Prince
In a world divided by war, Prince Laurent of Vere is given a slave and captive from the enemy kingdom of Akielos. This captive, Damen, is a warrior prince in his own right, sold into slavery after his brother usurped his throne. As Damen navigates the treacherous politics of the Vere court and his new, dangerous role, he finds himself increasingly entangled with his master, Prince Laurent, in ways neither of them expected.
Damen's illegitimate half-brother, who seizes the Akielon throne and sells Damen into slavery.
A lady of the Akielon court and Damen's former lover, who becomes Kastor's lover and helps him seize power.
An enslaved Akielon given to the Veretian court, whose mistreatment shows Damen the plight of his fellow captives.
The Captive Prince trilogy was a finalist for the 2018 Sara Douglass Book Series Award at the Aurealis Awards, though it did not win (the award went to Juliet Marillier's Blackthorn & Grim series).
