Luis Mateo Díez Rodríguez (born 21 September 1942 in Villablino, León) is a Spanish novelist and short-story writer. He spent his childhood in Villablino until his family moved to the city of León in 1954, studied law in Oviedo and Madrid, and worked for many years as a civil servant in the Madrid city administration.
