Synopsis

Hannah is a brilliant aerospace engineer who trusts machines far more than people — and she is certain that Ian, the maddeningly competent man in her orbit, cannot stand her. When a mission to a remote Arctic research site goes wrong and Hannah is left stranded and badly injured in the freezing dark, the last person she expects to come for her is the one who does.

Trapped together against the cold with hours to fill and nothing left to lose, Hannah is forced to reexamine everything she assumed about Ian's feelings — and her own. What she took for dislike may have been something else entirely.

The third of Ali Hazelwood's STEMinist novellas, Below Zero is a short, tender rom-com about a prickly heroine, a quietly devoted hero, and the thaw that happens when survival strips away the pretenses.
