Akarnae

Dreading her first day at a new school, Alex Jennings walks through a doorway and finds herself stranded in Medora — a fantasy world full of impossibilities, with no obvious way home. While she waits for the one man who might be able to send her back, Alex enrolls at Akarnae Academy, Medora's boarding school for teenagers with extraordinary gifts. She is just beginning to love her strange new life and the friends who take her in when she realizes something sinister is stirring beneath the school, and that she may be the only one who can stop it. The first book of the Medoran Chronicles.
