Synopsis

A bit of a do is a British sitcom set in a fictional Yorkshire town, where each episode takes place at a different social gathering — a wedding, a party, a funeral, or a garden party.

The story centers on the affair between Ted Simcock, a working-class man with a knack for tall tales, and Liz Rodenhurst, a middle-class woman from the neighboring street. As their relationship unravels, the show satirizes the social divide between the two families and the absurdity of the conventions governing their lives.

David Jason and Nicola Pagett lead an ensemble cast in a farce built on misunderstandings, double entendres, and the slow transformation of both Ted and Liz as they confront the consequences of their choices.
