Synopsis

The third Cedar Cove novel centres on the divorce of Zach and Rosie Cox. Judge Olivia Lockhart decrees an unusual custody arrangement: rather than shuttling the children between two homes, the kids will stay put at 311 Pelican Court and it is Zach and Rosie who will move back and forth. The arrangement changes their relationship in ways neither of them expected.

Around them, the small town's other stories turn over. Olivia is weighing whether to stay with newspaperman Jack Griffin or reconcile with her ex-husband. Grace Sherman, still grieving her husband, gets drawn into an online relationship and neglects her patient suitor Cliff Harding. And the whole town wonders about the man found dead at Peg and Bob Beldon's bed-and-breakfast — a mystery local private investigator Roy McAfee is determined to solve.

Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove books are gentle, ensemble-driven small-town fiction, each named for an address in the town.
