Synopsis

After her partner walks out on her pregnancy, Zikora must prepare for motherhood while dealing with her overbearing mother’s arrival in DC. The tension between them forces Zikora to look back at her family's history in Nigeria and the struggles her mother endured. Through the pain of labor, she searches for a way to connect her past with the new life she is about to start.
