Synopsis

Wataru Watanabe (渡辺航, born March 9, 1971) is a Japanese manga artist from Nagasaki Prefecture, a graduate of Nagasaki University's Faculty of Education. He debuted professionally in 2001 with "Suprimen" in Kodansha's Magazine Special, then created Magimoji Rurumo for Monthly Shōnen Sirius (2007-2019). Since 2008 he has written and illustrated Yowamushi Pedal, serialized in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion, which won the 39th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2015.
