Synopsis

Not all of us will make it to the end...For the first time since the start of the race, every member of Sohoku has gathered together! Pursuing Hakone at a superfast pace thanks to Aoyagi's Oxygen-Fueled Sonic-Speed Human Bullet trick, Sohoku is dead set on closing the distance and regaining the lead! However, the Inter-High is a brutal test of endurance, and the already injured Aoyagi is running on fumes...Should his idol succumb to exhaustion, will Kaburagi be able to carry on Aoyagi's will--or fall into despair?!

Wataru Watanabe (渡辺航, born March 9, 1971) is a Japanese manga artist from Nagasaki Prefecture, a graduate of Nagasaki University's Faculty of Education. He debuted professionally in 2001 with "Suprimen" in Kodansha's Magazine Special, then created Magimoji Rurumo for Monthly Shōnen Sirius (2007-2019). Since 2008 he has written and illustrated Yowamushi Pedal, serialized in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion, which won the 39th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2015.
