Synopsis
A year after his best friend Sam's death, Oliver still can't stop texting Sam's old number, even knowing no one will answer. Then someone does: Ben, an astronomy student in Seattle who has been receiving Oliver's messages for months after the number was reassigned to him.
What starts as an awkward misunderstanding becomes something neither expected — but when Oliver and Ben try to actually meet, they discover they're slipping in and out of sync with each other's timelines, unable to line up in the same place at the same time. Oliver has to work out what's pulling them apart while facing the grief over Sam he's never fully let himself feel.
A companion to You've Reached Sam, told from the perspective of a supporting character from that book, blending queer romance with an unexplained, low-key speculative twist.
